Marilyn Monroe famously posed nude for photographer Tom Kelley on May 27, 1949.
She first met Kelley in September, 1948 when she was involved in a minor car crash on her way to an audition. The photographer, who was in the area at that time, offered Marilyn his help, $5 to pay for a taxi and his business card.
After refusing him a couple of times, she decided to finally take the offer and pose nude in order to be able to pay her rent and the car she was using to get her to auditions.
Even though Kelley was known to be a gentleman, Marilyn requested however, that Natalie Grasko, his wife would be there in the studio.
Marilyn received $50 for the photoshoot.
